Gotta love it wwhen Liberal in Vermont, Nuu Hamsha, Maine, Conn Mass and Nuu
Yawk are going to pay through the ass for Gas as Pelosi refuses to allow
more oil & gas drilling in the US.
Natural gas rates could increase by historic amounts this fall

Northwest Natural Gas Co. estimates that it will have to seek residential
rate increases of 35 percent to 40 percent beginning Nov. 1 to cover rapidly
rising commodity costs.
The rate jump would be the biggest on the company's books and possibly for
any company, and advocates for low-income ratepayers said such a move would
be highly damaging. The increase would come in time for the high-demand
cool-weather season.
NW Natural and several other natural gas companies updated the Oregon Public
Utility Commission about their expectations for rate requests covering 2009
during a hearing this afternoon in Salem.
With 650,000 customers in Oregon and Southwest Washington, NW Natural is the
dominant provider of natural gas in the region. The company said it would
not be able to narrow in on a more specific rate-increase target until
September, when it secures its 2009 supplies.
Cascade Natural Gas Corp., based in Seattle, projected that it would request
rate increases in the 15-20 percent range, while Vista Corp. forecast 10-15
percent.

This is why there's going to be no election this fall. Once the shit
really hits the fan, you'll see a lot more of what just happened today
at the IndyMac Bank in Encino.

It's going to be fun watching those NorthEastern USA Liberals cry and
whine about those fuel prices. Liberal policies are exactly what has
caused an artificially high fuel cost to begin with.

Fucking liar, republicans (Phil Gramm's bill) de-regulated the speculators
so that they didn't have to pay but a small percentage of the cost of oil
futures they purchased until AFTER the final sale. Thus enabling
speculators to fuck us with our own money. Good thing the American
People are wise to what prolific fucking crooks and liars you worthless
republicans are, and will kick even more of you out of congress as they
bitch-slap John McCain.

oil and why the US is down from 9 million bpd in the 80s to 5 million BPD
now in dometic oil production.

to 5.4 million barrels a day in 2004-a fall of 44 percent

the energy crises in California when Enron drove up electricity prices?

Besides, remember that the liberals in the NE are fairly well off and can
afford the higher prices. It's the poorer rural conservatives who are
gonna eat it. |

IF the problem really IS speculators, the solution is simple.... raise the
margin rate to the 50-75% range - the higher the better.
Wonder why that does not happen? Think maybe it's because democrat Dick
"Turban" Durban is in the pocket of the CBOT?
