Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL,) and
others, Dec, 5, 2001.

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a
threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the
mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass
destruction and the means of delivering them."
Sen. Carl Levin (d, MI), Sept. 19, 2002.

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical
weapons throughout his country."
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002.

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible

Saddam is in power."
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002.

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and
developing weapons of mass destruction."
Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002.

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October1998. We are
confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and
biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course
to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities.
Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."
Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002.

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the

every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and
destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity.
This he has refused to do."
Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002.

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports
show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and
biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his
nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to
terrorists, including al Qaeda members. It is clear, however, that if
left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity
to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to
develop nuclear weapons."
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that
Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing
capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass
destruction. "[W]ithout question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He
is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He
presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently
prone to miscalculation. And now he has continued deceit and his
consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of
Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real ...
Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003.

NOW THE DEMOCRATS SAY PRESIDENT BUSH LIED, THAT THERE NEVER WERE ANY
WMD'S AND HE TOOK US TO WAR FOR HIS OIL BUDDIES??? Right!!!

I'm going to try to help you learn how to think ok, so for me to do this
I'm going to type real slow ok?

Look at the dates. Now, look at them again. All or nearly all of these
quotes came BEFORE the UN inspectors were on the ground in Iraq. As you
know the inspectors were given unfettered access to all sites in Iraq
and they couldn't verify one word of Bush's sorry excuse for
intelligence. By the time we went to war in March there was 100% proof
on the table that Bush was lying, in that the inspectors Bush asked for
couldn't find what Bush claimed was there.

Bush lied to Congress, the media and the American people and you blame
members of Congress for believing his lies. Good grief...are you really
that dumb?

inherent anti-Americanism.

The only way conservatives can win any election is by changing the
subject to pure idiocy and then keeping the discussion dumbed down so
only complete idiots still want to vote.

Was Bush right about WMD? No.
Was McCain right? No.

Was Bush right about Iraq being part of the war on terror? No.
Was McCain right? No.

Was Bush right when he said we could afford trillions of dollars of tax
cuts? No.
Was McCain right? Yes and No..it depends on which version of McCain
you're looking at. When taxes were being cut McCain was right. Now that
he's running for the presidency he's wrong because now he supports the
tax cuts and the debt created by the tax cuts (almost $4 trillion).

So, if the issues are about who's right and who's wrong McCain won't get
a single vote. But elections are never about these simple facts.
Elections are always about emotions.

Look at 2004. Bush failed us on 911 and WMD...the two largest
intelligence failures in US history and dumb people still voted for him.
The key here is "dumb people." Without dumb people there would be no GOP.

Because the Federal government asked the telecoms to break the law -
specifically the Fourth Amendment.

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers,

violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported

Believe me, I'm down with all that!

The Feds are after terrorists and their supporters, no one else. Echelon
triggers a closer look at communications between known terrorist states and
within America. I want those communications looked at!

If by chance an innocent 'citizen' is caught up in an unwarranted

There are legal safeguards built in, litigation. Most civil rights cases are
handled on a contingency basis.

SCOTUS will strike it down as being unconstitutional but it'll take years.

The ACLU is part of the safeguard.

By then any civil cases won't have any standing because

Criminal violations are still allowed...but how can a person know if a

That part isn't protected. Freedom of information will be upheld to defend
ones self. If the Feds screw up and go after an innocent person, any good
lawyer would take the case. I speak from experience. I was falsely accused
by the cops/city and after the ciminal case was thrown out it was my turn. I
settled out of court with a wad of tax free cash!

The United Nations is a fine idea. Its members are more of a problem. A
membership that can elect Libya to be in charge of human rights and
seriously contemplate choosing Iraq to supervise disarmament is overstepping
the frontiers of credibility. Delving further into the past yields other
absurdities, prime among them the infamous resolution equating Zionism with
racism.

consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ...

Good grief...are you really
that dumb?

Before or after; what does it matter? It was obvious to all but the
blind that Saddam possessed and was trying to acquire WMD. He also
had used them against the Kurds and in the war with Iran.
Just how dumb are you that you don't know that. My God you are
ignorant!

"There is no doubt that . Saddam Hussein has reinvigorated his weapons
programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear
programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In
addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is
doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-
range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies."

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible
to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as
Saddam is in power."

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the
authority to use force - if necessary - to disarm Saddam Hussein
because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction
in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002.

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working
aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear
weapons within the next five years . We also should remember we have
alway s underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of
weapons of mass destruction."
Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002,

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years,
every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and
destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity.
