POLL: 46% of Clinton Voters Won't Vote Obama
Latest CNN Poll shows that more and more Hillary supporters won't vote for
Obama.
"According to a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll released Friday, the
number of Clinton supporters who plan to defect to Republican Sen. John
McCain's camp is down from one month ago, but - in what could be an ominous
sign for Obama as he seeks to unify the party - the number of them who say
they plan to vote for Obama is also down, and a growing number say they may
not vote at all. (from CNN)

Not really. A lot of older republican women were big Hillary supporters
and crossed over to vote for her in a show of sisterly solidarity. Now
they are peeved, and while they won't vote for Obama, they also won't
vote for McCain. In another election they might have voted for McCain,
but this effectively removes them from the mix entirely. Advantage Obama. |

After Turner sold CNN to the corporate media I lost a lot of trust in
it. Lou Dobbs run hot and cold. He's been spending a lot of time
trashing
Obama and bringing in others to do it for him.
I liked McCain in 2000 but he isn't the same guy now and we need
change.
Any Clinton supporter that votes Republican or even sits out this
election
will be hurting their own causes. Those who voted Clinton but weren't
really
Clinton supporters wouldn't have gotten her vote in the fall anyway.
Obama does have to worry about media distortions of his positions
because
it makes him look like something he's not and this will disaffect many
liberals.
I don't understand his position on FISA and telecom immunity. I get
the notion
of traps but the way it stands the notion is he voted for the bill
because he was
afraid of the narrative if he didn't and how it would affect his
chances of winning.
(This is coming from Air America no less.) He needs to be clear on
his position
and make sure it gets out because the notion that he acts out of fear
won't
set well. I don't think he's moving to the middle but it feels that
way to many. |
