http://hotair.com/archives/2008/07/08/why-do-congressional-democrats-fear-free-speech/
Efforts in both chambers of Congress have Republicans wondering
why Democrats seem to fear free speech. Rep. Michael Capuano (D-
MA) has proposed limitations on how Representatives can post
information to the Internet in a time when we should be demanding
more transparency, not less. [...]
In the Senate, the problem gets even worse. Feinstein (D-CA)
would have the Rules Committee act as a censor board, forcing
members to get approval for the act of communicating on external
websites. Further, it would appear that the Feinstein proposal
would attempt to exercise editorial control over these sites, at
least indirectly. [...]
The sudden interest in silencing Congress goes right along with
the brand-new 9% approval rating the Democratic leadership has
earned Congress. Imagine how much worse it will get when they gag
their members and force an end to communication through policy
sites, blogs, and Internet media.
Want to ask Feinstein what she’s thinking? Be sure to e-mail her
through her website or call the Senate Rules Committee at
202-224-6352 to express your support for free speech and
transparency. Ask them what they have to hide that the 9% of
Americans who still support them shouldn’t find out. |

Anyone stupid enough to believe that the "9%" approval
rating is because of democrats----is probably a
mush-brained dolt who gets their "news" from Faux,
Moon, or Scaife.
Congress's approval is down because of:
a) the dismal failure of republican congress for over
two decades
b) the obstruction and blocks put on doing what the
American people elected Democrats to do
c) The continuation and failure of rescinding the
economic stupidity put into place during the Bush
Administration (vooodoo, trickledown economics) and
rescinding regulations on business and corporations. |

You'll have to go easy, Gary -- he's a complete moron.
Albeit a hyperviolent, racist, homophobic moron.
Witness:
A brief sampling of violent, left-wing extremist Gary Roselles'

Hear that Roselloon? It's the sound of everyone laughing at you...
<chuckle>
Gary Roselles, Feb 12th 2007 on the worth of black men -- "Then why
was you mother stupid enough to fuck all them black guys?" --
Gary Roselles, May 4 2004 on his insistence that only a third of US
House members are up for re-election every two years: "Wrong, bozo.
The election only includes a third of the House. Your claim would
only be valid if ALL House seats were up for election. But it makes
no difference. You can't spin math."

Republicans gained the presidency in 1980---went on for
years making bad policy, lying to us about selling arms
to sworn enemies, funneling billions to the wealth
class.
Their fiscal policies were bullshit from day one----as
we've found out by 1992---then worsened when they were
put back into policy in 2000.
Yes, the disasters span the 80's too
Not my words, but the words of David Stockman, & Bush
the Elder. |

Surprising that you would attempt to disavow
them; certain of their maunderings (not least the
_ad hominem_ and character attacks) sound
hauntingly familiar to those which infest certain
left-wing websites (*cough* kos DU *cough*).
I might allow, however, that as some sages have
observed, if one goes 'round the bend far enough
in either direction, one finds that the sides meld
into one muddle of incoherent madness. I believe
this is referred to as 'the closed-circle theory of
extremism.' |
