My car gets 40 mpg and has for years. I ride my bike when it makes |

they were popular. I recycle and compost and otherwise reduce my
waste footprint that even after about six months, the garbage I
have didn't even meet the minimum weight.
I have no interest in SUVs. I've always felt that the car frame
built as a station wagon is the most overall useful type of
vehicle. If I can have more than one, I would say that the small EV
(electric vehicle) plus something with range in gasoline or diesel
is sensible. I don't oppose having a pickup, but would only want to
use it when it made logical sense, which is why I advocate "right
size" vehicles.

I don't even know what that means. I advocate increasing the long |
term supply of energy by building nuclear power plants. I'm not
opposed to building alternatives such as wind and solar where they
can make sense noting that they can't be used for base or peaking
power. While I personally have always conserved energy, I in
general support holding off the easy pickings until people take
seriously building up new energy sources.

"Right size" driving is about increasing your options, not
decreasing them. The idea is to let you decide what makes sense for
you in a specific context, and to encourage you to look at how that
context can change. So you have two vehicles, one is an EV for in
town and the other is a gas powered whatever for longer trips. With
the price of gas going up, you might end up making different
choices, but to limit yourself to one car that must do everything
is how we ended up with one person in a huge SUV or pickup. It's
silly.

town and the other is a gas powered whatever for longer trips. With
the price of gas going up, you might end up making different
choices, but to limit yourself to one car that must do everything
is how we ended up with one person in a huge SUV or pickup. It's
silly.

I see you can't refute what I said and are forced into personal

umm --- you started the kook alerts -- does that mean you could not
refute
someone?
Kook Alerts are a service when I provide them. What issues would
you like me to address that you feel need "refuting"?
I'll accept that as your admission thaty you could not refute a post.
What exactly couldn't I supposedly refute? Put it right here

Who cares? You said calling someone a kook was simply admitting that one
could not refute a post --- you called the kook alert -- hence -- the rest
is history written by you.
