without original sin - that is conceived immaculately) with the virgin
birth of Christ. Two separate concepts and beliefs, at least in the
Catholic Church.

was no sperm to fertilize the egg. So Jesus would still be female.

I did not address that possibility because I refuse to get into this
agreement or disagreement..conclude what you want, it is not an
argumentative issue to me, I have my beliefs and abide by them.
My only point is that most non-Catholics confuse the Immaculate
Conception when Mary was conceived without Original Sin since if she was
to be the mother of Christ she must be free of sin, with the virgin
birth of Christ some 18-30 years later - not sure of the age of Mary
when Christ was born.
Believe, disbelieve, pooh-pah as you wish, just do not intermix and
intermingle both "events" erroneously. |
