You want Choke-n-Puke, rightard? Speaking of food for thought, this little
dose of reality will really make yer stupid goober ass choke and puke...

The results of Zogby's state by state polling of all 50 states and an
analysis of other state polling by Zogby shows Barack Obama is kicking John
McCain's wrinkled old ass all over the electoral vote map.

Zogby is the latest to weigh in with a prediction of electoral vote totals
based on state by state polling.

In the most extensive state by state polling yet, Zogby's findings fit
perfectly with other predictions that show that with 4 moths left to go
until election day, Barack Obama has already built an insurmountable lead in
electoral votes and continues to gain momentum.

------
http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=1523

Zogby Poll: Building Mo-bama! Democrat Leads McCain in Electoral College
Tally, 273-160

Released: July 06, 2008

This latest extensive survey of all 50 states reveals that while Obama holds
a narrow lead in the national preference test, he holds a substantial
advantage right now in the Electoral College. Using this survey - and an
average of other public state polls in certain states to corroborate the
Zogby results – Zogby calculates that Obama leads McCain, 273-160. A total
of 11 states with 105 electoral votes are within the margin of error and
therefore too close to call. A candidate needs 270 to be elected President.
------

According to Zogby and the largest 50 state poll ever done, Barack Obama has
already secured enough Electoral votes to win. And there's still 105 in
play. That's not just a "substantial advantage." That's STUNNING.

It means that there's no way McCain can make up the deficit. He can win
every single electoral vote in play - every single one - and he STILL loses.
Wow.

John Zogby goes on to comment on the poll results...

"Obama is in the driver’s seat right now, especially where it really counts
- in the electoral votes. Bob Barr could really hurt McCain’s chances.
McCain can’t afford the level of slippage to Barr we found among
conservatives in this polling."

Other meta polls and electoral vote projections line up with Zogby's
findings.

FiveThirtyEight.com, run by Nate Silver, statistical genius and inventor of
the PECOTA system of analyzing and predicting baseball talent, has Obama
winning 309 electoral votes to 230 for McSame.

Silver conservatively predicts Obama will win 39 of the 105 electoral votes
Zogby has as too close to call.

http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/

BTW, there's an amazing amount of raw data on Silver's site. With multiple
polls for each state updated continuously and Silver's own unique complex
analytical models, it's a numbers junky's paradise.

Fundamentalist right wing numbers guru Scott Elliot (aka The Blogging
Caesar) has Obama winning by a landslide: 338 for Obama to only 200 for
McSame.

Elliot predicts Obama will win 68 of the 105 electoral votes up for grabs,
also well within Zogby's findings.

http://www.electionprojection.com/index.shtml

Commenting on his findings, Elliott worries...

"Barack Obama continues to lead John McCain by a 338-200 count in EVs.
However, a couple of polls released recently have highlighted what I fear
may be in store for Election Day. Two states which have been reliably red
the last two election cycles may be within Obama's reach in 2008 - Indiana
and Montana. "

IOW, he thinks it could get even worse for Grampa McSame.

Is that possible? Can it really get any worse for poor old John McSame? Only
time will tell.

But as we head into the heart of the summer, one thing is clear. There's
nothing McSame can do to win. This is Barack Obama's race to win or lose.

IOW, unless someone catches Obama on video shooting crank in bed with a
naked 10 yo boy while clubbing a baby seal and aborting a third trimester
fetus with a pair of pliers and a blow torch, he will win in November, and
very possibly by a landslide.

Get used to it, rightards. You only have four months to get used to the idea
and six to get used to the reality and alacrity has never been your
strongest suit. Better get crackin', crackers...

No. The work isn't done yet.

There are plenty of nails yet to pounded into the GOP coffin.

And 40 senate seats to trim.

Those down-ballot races are what are making me grin at the moment.

I meant to mention that one of the biggest things still undone is like a
*nationwide* effort to get people to obtain legal ID and confirm their
elegibility to vote. Starting right the fuck now.

Answering a Zogby poll doesn't mean shit if you show up at the voting booth
only to find out you've been caged or can't prove elegibility.

That and getting Diebold, ESS and Sequoia out of the game for good.
