You lose. That is just as stupid as claiming the grand jury forced
Clinton to lie.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Bush administration has launched a "significant escalation" of covert operations in Iran, sending U.S. commandos to spy on the country's nuclear facilities and undermine the Islamic republic's government, journalist Seymour Hersh said Sunday.
An Iranian flag flies outside the building containing the reactor of Bushehr nuclear power plant, south of Tehran.
White House, CIA and State Department officials declined comment on Hersh's report, which appears in this week's issue of The New Yorker.
Hersh told CNN's "Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer" that Congress has authorized up to $400 million to fund the secret campaign, which involves U.S. special operations troops and Iranian dissidents.
President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney have rejected findings from U.S. intelligence agencies that Iran has halted a clandestine effort to build a nuclear bomb and "do not want to leave Iran in place with a nuclear program," Hersh said.
"They believe that their mission is to make sure that before they get out of office next year, either Iran is attacked or it stops its weapons program," Hersh said.

what happened to war? I have been hearing about war in Iran for 7
years now, now its all covert

The Iran war should be 2 days. It will be 10 years since Americans are
cowards. They think you win a war using missiles. Troops walking in
towns wins wars, along with control of the media, food, local
cooperation. If Americans had any courage they would invade, lose
about 100 thousands in deaths, but have the whole country in 2 days.
But they are cowards, so we can have the saga of years of fighting
with US troops phoning home asking their mums for help. |

So just because he was not convicted of giving her name to reporters,
that means it was morally acceptable for him to give her name to the
reporters, which he did indeed admit to the prosecutors?

Then why didn't they charge him with it ?
Perhaps because the prosecuters already knew someone else had told the
reporters ?

If you were secure in your argument you wouldn't be flying off with
insults now would you ?
Your original argument was absurd - you were attempting to draw a
(completely invalid) comparison i.e. Hersh revealing - without
mentioning specific names - CIA operations, to a case where someone
did actually reveal the name of someone who was involved in CIA
operations? Don't you think that's pretty dumb? The cases are
completely different therefore there is no ethical case to be made by
contrasting them. The fact that Libby was not prosecuted for
specifically revealing the names doesn't absolve him, either ethically
or legally, from said action.
|
So how is talking about an officer workers name worse than revealing the
CIA might have active operation going on inside Iran ?
Seems to me you have it backwards, that outing an office worker was
harmless but that oouting current operations is the crime.

The Israelis, as usual, have already shown how to win a war. |
Just figure out where the critical parties running the regime are, and
use drones with their names on them.
None of those jackasses will dare to stand at a podium in the open air
in front of thousands of fanatics ever again. When the survivors try to
run the country from bunkers on tv, take out the TV transmitters. Use
our control of the air to transmit directly to the population what is
really going on in the world. Malosevic could not stay in power after
WJD took out his TV and radio stations.
No tyranny can survive without controlling the media. |
