It's BEEN smooth sailing for the Iranians. First we took out their
enemy to their east, the Taliban. Teheran was not happy having
radical fundies next door and feared that if they spread to eastern
Iran, they could upset the delicate petrodollar economy the rulers
there depend on.
Then we took out their old enemy Saddam to their west and opened it up
to Iranian money, influence, weapons and agents provocateur.
Iran has benefited by Bush's policies more than we have.
