Perhaps because there's not oil on those acres or it is

Mission accomplished, indeed. The Democrats
believe it will be to their advantage to keep gas
prices high through November. The next time you
fill up your tank thank and bless Pelosi and her
herd of Democrat morons.
So, how would voting for drilling bring down the
price of gasoline by November?
I'll type this slowly so maybe you and repug liar
can understand. If President Billyboy Clinton, a
simple-minded dummycrat, had not vetoed the ANWR
proposal in 1995, we would have that oil today.
So no, drilling now won't bring the price down by
November or anytime soon, and it may not bring it
down in the future as oil will be more and more in
demand, but if we had started drilling 10 years
ago, that oil would be on-line today and prices
might not be as high as they are. So let's start
now for the future.
If that is still too hard for your simple-minded
dummycrat brain to grasp, get the six year old next
door to read it to you and explain.
If Bush had not waged a war over lies and destroyed
the economy in the process there wouldn't be an oil
crisis. You repugs sure are a stupid bunch if you
think this is all about oil suddenly disappearing and
you are more ignorant than anyone ever imagined.
Why have republicans blocked oil drilling much more
recently then Clinton? Why didn't the right open ANWR
when they had complete control of both houses and the
WhiteHouse for so long?
You sure are stupid retard aren't you?
Apparently you've forgotten the Dems used the
filibuster to block Anwar.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4549884.stm
But WHY did republicans vote to block ANWR? It was they
who were responsible for the defeat of the bill. NOT the
democrats. Why do you liars continue lying and blaming
the left for your failures to get things done?
From your own cite:
Supporters of the plan fell four votes short of the
number needed to prevent opponents using a filibuster -
or delaying tactic - to derail the vote.
The Republicans fell short of the 60 votes needed to
avoid the Democrat-led filibuster, with the tally
standing at 56-44.
More attempted dishonesty by a lib loon. If the Dems
had not led the filibuster, the measure would have
passed. The Dems blocked the drilling by voting as a
block, not the Republicans as you've tried to portray.
Nothing dishonest about it moron. If you actaully read
the link you would see that what I posted came directly
from it.
Right, the cite says the Dems for the most part voted as
a block resulting in stopping the bill. A few
Republicans joining the filibuster does not change that
fact.
You will always remain a stupid tard. It says:
"Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist was among those to vote 'No' ".
Now explain why Frist was one of the first to vote his own bill down. He
was not the only RightTard to vote against it and he won't be the last. You
just can't live without thinking that Fox has been lying can you tard?
|
Right after you explain how a party voting as a block is not
responsible for stopping a bill, yet a few individuals from another
party who vote against a bill are ones who are responsible for
stopping that bill.

So so tell why the republicans voted to block the bill.

"Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist was among those to
vote 'No'."
All you RightTards do is bitch about the democrats that
vote against drilling but can't even explain why it is
your own party that is succeeding in the actual block.
When morons like you can find a bill where every
republican votes for it then you might have something to
cry about. Until you can get your own party of
obstruction under control then you are nothing more than
a fool if you complain. They promised to bring it up
again but never did. The promised to bring it up again
but never did. The right is just as guilty of blocking
drilling bills as the left.
Explain why the majority of the simple minded dummycrats
are voting to block drillling. If they were voting for
drilling it would pass regardless of how the repubs are
voting.
You really have a problem with comprehension don't you.
You are just to stupid to be able to provide and answer as to why
republicans have voted to block oil drilling so you place all the blame on
the left. Drilling will do nothing to lower prices and no matter what you
will never be able to show why the right has been doing the blocking. You
are just totally clueless.
|
Certainly doing absolutely nothing but finger point (as the Dems are
doing) will not lower prices. The cost of oil is not currently based
on supply and demand -- it based on perception. If this country even
threatens to drill, it will help lower the cost of oil. |

Now if you have any brains, (obviously you don't )
please explain why the simple minded dummycrats are
voting to block drilling.
Big oil has leases on 68 million acres. Democrats are
against giving them any MORE. Why aren't they
developing what they already have?
Perhaps because there's not oil on those acres or it
is cost prohibitive to get it?

"Perhaps." Nice fact filled comeback.
Perhaps you can show us using the provided cite or any
other legitimate cite that there is tons of oil on the
land of those leases and the oil companies could
economically drill for it but aren't. You seem long on
whines, short on cites.
It doesn't take much to prove how stupid a tard like you
is. You are incapable of thinking on your own and need
someone to tell you how to think. You need Bush the oil
man to tell you his side of reality.
Of course you are fool enough to think that I agree with
Bush too. Can you provide a cite that the land has oil on
it and it can be drilled for economically or not?
|
It is common knowledge that OPEC could provide more oil. Bush was turned
down by his friends in SA. Then they agreed to provide a little more. Much
more oil can be output by OPEC if they wanted to. Have you ever done any
researching for yourself or have you only relied on others to tell you what
to think? I would say that you are very ignorant and haven't one clues about
the oil available in Russia and other parts of the world. I can provide you
with links but I want you to show me that you know more than what Fox or
Rush is telling you. Maybe you are just an ignorant troll and wouldn't
believe anything I showed you anyway.
How stupid are you really? Where do you get your information from?

Mission accomplished, indeed. The Democrats
believe it will be to their advantage to
keep gas prices high through November. The
next time you fill up your tank thank and
bless Pelosi and her herd of Democrat
morons.
So, how would voting for drilling bring down
the price of gasoline by November?
I'll type this slowly so maybe you and repug
liar can understand. If President Billyboy
Clinton, a simple-minded dummycrat, had not
vetoed the ANWR proposal in 1995, we would
have that oil today.
So no, drilling now won't bring the price down
by November or anytime soon, and it may not
bring it down in the future as oil will be
more and more in demand, but if we had started
drilling 10 years ago, that oil would be
on-line today and prices might not be as high
as they are. So let's start now for the future.
If that is still too hard for your
simple-minded dummycrat brain to grasp, get
the six year old next door to read it to you
and explain.
If Bush had not waged a war over lies and
destroyed the economy in the process there
wouldn't be an oil crisis. You repugs sure are a
stupid bunch if you think this is all about oil
suddenly disappearing and you are more ignorant
than anyone ever imagined.
Why have republicans blocked oil drilling much
more recently then Clinton? Why didn't the right
open ANWR when they had complete control of both
houses and the WhiteHouse for so long?
You sure are stupid retard aren't you?
Apparently you've forgotten the Dems used the
filibuster to block Anwar.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4549884.stm
But WHY did republicans vote to block ANWR? It was
they who were responsible for the defeat of the
bill. NOT the democrats. Why do you liars continue
lying and blaming the left for your failures to get
things done?
From your own cite:
Supporters of the plan fell four votes short of the
number needed to prevent opponents using a
filibuster - or delaying tactic - to derail the
vote.
The Republicans fell short of the 60 votes needed
to avoid the Democrat-led filibuster, with the
tally standing at 56-44.
More attempted dishonesty by a lib loon. If the
Dems had not led the filibuster, the measure would
have passed. The Dems blocked the drilling by
voting as a block, not the Republicans as you've
tried to portray.
Nothing dishonest about it moron. If you actaully
read the link you would see that what I posted came
directly from it.
Right, the cite says the Dems for the most part voted
as a block resulting in stopping the bill. A few
Republicans joining the filibuster does not change
that fact.
So so tell why the republicans voted to block the
bill. If they didn't it would have passed.
"Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist was among those to
vote 'No'."
All you RightTards do is bitch about the democrats that
vote against drilling but can't even explain why it is
your own party that is succeeding in the actual block.
When morons like you can find a bill where every
republican votes for it then you might have something
to cry about. Until you can get your own party of
obstruction under control then you are nothing more
than a fool if you complain. They promised to bring it
up again but never did. The promised to bring it up
again but never did. The right is just as guilty of
blocking drilling bills as the left.
Explain why the majority of the simple minded dummycrats
are voting to block drillling. If they were voting for
drilling it would pass regardless of how the repubs are
voting.
You really have a problem with comprehension don't you.
You are just to stupid to be able to provide and answer
as to why republicans have voted to block oil drilling so
you place all the blame on the left. Drilling will do
nothing to lower prices and no matter what you will never
be able to show why the right has been doing the
blocking. You are just totally clueless.
Certainly doing absolutely nothing but finger point (as
the Dems are doing) will not lower prices.
|
You are an idiot. It is you RightTards that are blaming the left for voting
down drilling. I am countering with proof that both are doing the same thing
but so far not one tard like you is able to prove me wrong.
The cost of

oil is not currently based on supply and demand

There is no supply and demand aspect to it at all. Big Oil is keeping the
supply to the open market low by purchasing "Paper Barrels" and
"speculating" by doing so it will drive the prices up. So far they have been
successful. There is plenty of oil available if you are a Big Oil but not if
you want it to fuel your car.
Technically there is oil "on the market" but not all can be accessed by the
end user. Do you REALLY believe the in a few short years that Bush has been
in office that the demand has risen by 500% to reflect the recent increase
in price? It seem like you are swallowing it hook line and sinker. You just
willingly accept what you hear and do no actual thinking. How pathetic.

this thread is a great example of why I am now an extreme independent.
first off, most of the posts seem to have been written by people to
young to remember the last oil crisis. the same solutions were
proposed by both parties before the 1980 election. after the election
nothing got done, no new nuke plant, no new oil wells, no green
energy. second gas prices in CA have little to do w/ the left wing and
alot to do with the cost of *trying* to clean up air quality on the
unique land mass upon which most people in CA live on ... they have a
natural *smog* problem. third the only options presented are right
wing drill and left wing are rhetoric, drill or don't drill
for decades huge pools of only have sat untapped in known and
drillable areas but not been developed ... why? because it cost lots
of money to put a sizeable field into production and big oil would
raise their asset value (stock price) by proving new fields and
without laying out the massive investment needed to turn reserves into
production ...
do the research increases in production come from increasing
production on long producing wells and small producers who can't play
the games big oil can, big oil rarely puts new fields into production
and files laws suits against small operators seeking to drill
production wells in their neighborhood
just this week a small oil company worked out an offshore deal with so
called environmentalists in SoCal ... the only law suites threatened
were from big oil who claim the small oil company is directional
drilling into fields that are too expensive for them (big oil) to
produce on
keep this in mind - there are enough fossil fuel reserves in the US in
the current mineral rights of fortune 100 companies to more than
supply all US energy needs and export some too. the big boys can drill
if they want to
legislation can make big oil put fields into production, produce on
the leases or surrender them, is your party demanding such laws? why
not?
if we simply offer new oil leases to big oil some politicians will
claim issue solved ... in reality big oil will win the high bids then
drill proving wells ... run up their stock and keep putting just
enough production flowing to keep prices up ... think about it
the only way oil prices came down in the 1980s was when Reagan talked
the Saudis into increasing production in exchange for what may be the
world's 2nd best military force
if we don't drill (meaning don't sale new oil leases) ... we're stuck
even if we increase production of non-fossil energy by a factor of 10
note the rnc says do all the above, beginning with new oil leases
note the dnc says do all the above, except new oil leases
who is served by this gridlock ... big oil, who loses ... our
disposalable income
if we don't figure a way to increase "energy" production, fossil and
non-fossil, by empowering small & mid size firms to produce such,
we're sunk ... the difficulty of this obvious solution is no future
1000 companies are currently investing in the politics of "drill" or
"no-drill". note the politics of the dnc & the rnc are not the
solution - they are the problem
this same problem exists at many levels, the dnc tax the rich, the rnc
don't tax the rich ...
the rnc has preached for years cutting taxes for thr rich will create
more investment and more jobs ... calling on Adam Smith's "wealth of
nation's" as an intellectual foundation for classical economics ...
excuse me but there was no such thing as big business in Adam's day,
for example - please domonstrate how buying Exon or Walmart or Ford
stock will create more jobs. The problem with such a policy is that it
drives money into big cap stocks not into fast growing small or mid
size companies (note the DOW goes up fatser than small stocks under
the rnc rule)
the dnc by contrasts are avdocating Keynes economics (if they admit it
or not) which suggests during hard times r amp up govenrment
spending ... under normal circumstances this can work, it did in the
1930s, the diferrence - we weren't $10 trillion in debt when FDR came
to office
solution get some 30 year 5% seed money in the hands of up and coming
movers and shakers ... the big bucks behind the dnc & rnc are
terrified of such because that would put a big dent in their
respective power bases
again big biz lobbies for rich tax cuts ... unions for no rich tax
cuts ... no other political solution offered by either wing because
there are no big dawg political machines fighting for a real solution
in short neither party is offering real solutions - just BS rhetoric
now we face the the worst long term financial challenges in US history
= most of us can't afford a new house to too much regulation AND the
debt generated by the S&L scandal and the sub prime scandal (both
scandals caused by the refusal of Bush I and Dubya tp enforce the law)
and worse, due to ridulous foriegn poicly by all 3 presidents since
Reagan we can't cut our military budget, and military spending is the
only sizeable big ticket which is even negotiable ... debt service,
SS, and MC are all long term deals which the US government agreed too
long ago - it may come down to ... depression
******
sadly what's most likely is a swing to the radical left because the
swing to the right which began back in 1980 has ended with the likes
of this Bush administration, the most far right bunch since Hoover
that swing to the left will likey bring on faggot weddings and over
regulation ... oh well ... is that any worse than war profiteering neo
nazis?
we are close to telling seniors we have no healh care for ya and we
can't send ya SS check and your savings are tied up in a house and
stocks which are worth less than you paid for them ... or telling T-
bond holders we'll pay you some of what we promised sooner or
later ...
military vulnerablity and or bankruptcy seem likely if we leave things
to the lame ass right wing or the lame ass left wing
maybe one day we will start a viable 3rd party of non-brain washed
folks who love their country more than their parties ...
unforetunately most people have lost their ability to think for
themselves and are willing to accept brand R or brand D |
