proposal in 1995, we would have that oil today.
So no, drilling now won't bring the price down by
November or anytime soon, and it may not bring it down in
the future as oil will be more and more in demand, but if
we had started drilling 10 years ago, that oil would be
on-line today and prices might not be as high as they
are. So let's start now for the future.

Right, the cite says the Dems for the most part voted as a block
resulting in stopping the bill. A few Republicans joining the
filibuster does not change that fact.
